The First Slam on the site!

These are the poems of the top three winners of the Poetry Slam in Augusto's Level 15 conversation class.

1st place: Ixara

Untitled

For me, the place could be empty
even though I hear a lot of noise
I can't touch anything
Everybody around's got something to do
Seems to me, now
I don't have a lot to do
Strength is gone to somewhere
I'm into it in this very moment
guess I should go soon
A problem is in my way back
Would somebody miss me?
I'm not quite sure
listen to my name in the distance
is somebody really calling me?
or is it in my crazy imagination?


My future

Indecision, It is all over me, here and there
Where will I be in ten years?
Any human knows
Only God knows it
the moon could've told me, you know?
but she didn't want to
The only reason I found is that
she is jealous about my future
One night, at midnight
Someone, without any despair
put a gun against my head
pulled the trigger and ran away
That was the end of my future
I guess the moon wasn't that jealous
Freedom is mine at last

Nightmare

Has no one told you I'm not breathing?
Hello! I'm living a nightmare!
If I smile and don't believe this
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream...

I try to find myself but you find me everywhere I go.
I'm not your victim, I'm tired of being here.
Don't you see I'm about to die?
But you don't care about it...
You only use me and then leave me.

I'm so broken inside, everything is so cold...
Rain clouds are always over me.

This is a nightmare, and I just can't wake up.
But suddenly I know I'm not sleeping...
And all I know is that you are my nightmare!
You are my Life!
