Joan's poetry slam.
1st place: Carlos
Untitled (Farting)
If I were a noble gas
I could fly everywhere.
I will be in your face
I could se your face smelling
the sweet scent of my gases
dancing and traveling
In a big world of sensations
sensations that can make you angry
and maybe makes me happy
happy because I am sharing something
created from me. from the bottom of
my soul
Untitled
I see me in the mirror and
make myself the question
If I were a woman
I'm sure I will be ugly
but I don't care my mother
loves me, I guess
Maybe I will die without pleasure
and I said
I'm not worthy to be rejected
In the bottom of me, I'm still pretty
Anybody who knows me, knows that
It's my problem
And I don't care I will be
where ever I want
2nd place: Francisco
Untitled
I fell in love with a woman
and I thought that she was impossible for me
she got crazy, all my friends including myself
over the years she became my friend
a very difficult time to my heart
at the last year in high school
I decided to flirt with her
became her*
it wasn't easy
at the first moment she didn't believe me...
but with time
she gave me the opportunity
to prove all my love
and now
i think that I will do it
Untitled
I had a fight with my sister
I don't remember what about
and one thing led to another
And we fell out suddenly
the start of it was soft
the end of it was strong
She said she was right
I knew she was wrong
We Hated one another
the afternoon turned gray
then suddenly my sister
Thumped me on my back
And said "oh come on"
We can't do this all afternoon
I was wrong
So she was right
3rd place: Argenis
Still waiting for his poems.
Here is Ema's poetry slam. This was one of the best slams that I have ever presided over here at CEVAZ. Competition was fierce, but these three students emerged on top.
1st place: Ernesto
Needle-chairs
I am alone
sitting in a needle-chair.
seeing all the world.
and I am blind.
there was a woman.
walking without clothes
she didn't have legs.
she didn't have a road
Sleeping in a corner
It was a boy, who had been kidnapped
He is only a body
He didn't have dreams any more.
A man yelled out with desperation
He didn't have feelings
He told his Heart in his hand
He is a man without love.
I am alone
sitting in a needle-chair
seeing all the world
and I am blind.
I have legs.
I have dreams.
I have feelings
and I continue to complain
Now I see everything
I just have to take my legs
walk to the road of my dreams
following my feelings.
I am just a man.
living in a rich world
we don't have legs.
we don't have dreams.
we don't have feelings.
but we have our souls full of hope.
Red Oceans
Living in a nameless place
Watching all the brutal life
eating your sould
everyday, everyweek, everysecond.
Feeling the cold
Feeling the loneliness
I walk across it
over roads full of bodies from the past
I have Red Oceans in my eyes.
I can't wait to be outside
In the fantasy life
watching plastic-souls
Listening, the friction
of the green paper with the plastic
in their pockets
Now I am mute.
I am blind.
I have to focus
Now I work for the big man.
Outside there is no light
I have to be back
I have to hurry up
Everybody is waiting for me
I see the devil.
doing his thing.
there was a woman.
and a child too.
I can't do anything
they are waiting for me.
Now, finally, I am safe
but worried
I have a future
and they too
And I still can't
do anything
2nd place: Jennifer
Sleeping Alone!
I used to sleep with my
sister, but she got married 2 years
ago, I'm getting used to sleeping
alone. I think sleeping alone is
like when someone that you love
very much suddenly dies. You feel
empty in your heart, you're
sleeping alone. When you go to
a party and nobody asks you
let's dance or you don't like
the music that you're hearing
You are sleeping alone.
I've learned that when you
sleep alone you are in a crowded
place, but nobody wants to
talk to you, you are a ghost,
you don't exist for them.
When you break up with your
boyfriend and you feel that
the bedroom is bigger than the
house. the bed is a lake
where you swim and swim and
you never find nothing.
My sister's lost in this lake
and I am always looking; I'll
never give up.
To Cry!
It's raining and the sky is sad his face looks very worried
The stars want to help him but they are cleaning the mess that the moon left
I like to feel when the rain is touching me; because my clothes are dirty and the rain is washing them. I think when you appreciate the rain you will learn about your tears because they are cleaning your soul
3rd place: Nexibet
Kisses (After 'Besos' by Ariel Rot)
Dangerous, twisted and sharp kisses;
Generous, pure and wild kisses;
Elegant kisses, perfumed kisses,
Kisses for a pillow when there isn't anybody by my side.
Vertiginous kisses, not too much
Extremely poisonous, sweat and bitter kisses, not too long.
Arrogant kisses, uncontrolled kisses,
Kisses for compliment, steamy kisses,
Cheap kisses, the kisses' cost of the market;
Kisses that cost not matter how much.
Kisses that are a gift,
Kisses badly understood,
Kisses badly interpreted,
Kisses in the burned rooms on subdued bodies.
Kisses of rough emotions,
Postponed and suppressed kisses,
Sincere kisses, Judas' kisses
Determined kisses condemned for the science,
Kisses that disturb the conscience,
Kisses with insomnia, gaunt kisses
Kisses that we gave ourselves
Between glories and sinned;
Kisses of lie, Kisses ignored
Along with all these kisses that
We still have not proved
House As Good Place
It's the only place
Where you can only use my rules
I can do whatever I want,
I never ask for what can I do there.
I have in there everything I want,
I enjoy everything I got,
I always want to be there.
It's my safer place; it's my pleasure place,
It's my study place; it's my amusement place
If you want to enter
You need to show me, if you
can follow all my rules.
